News media

Equality aims to present factual information about the situation of Roma in the UK (and other countries of Europe) to news media professionals.

An authored article was published in the New Statesman magazine in May 2013.

Equality works with Roma groups and individuals to help them portray their stories to the media.

Alan Anstead MCIPR, Founder and Chief Executive of Equality, is available to give background briefings to the news media. Email alan@equality.uk.com or telephone +44 (0)20 3239 6605. He also wrote the research study 'What do we think of Romani people?' on the relationship between the news media and Romani people that was published in October 2010.

Equality is a member of AskCharity, the free online contacts book for media professionals, and Alan Anstead is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and of CharityComms.
